The Easiest Ways To Organize Your Social Life

The Easiest Ways To Organise Your Social Life

We all lead such busy lives. With work, family and social commitments, it can be hard to fit everything in. There are many demands on our time; it can be hard to know what is the most important. We want to fit it all in though because it is all good stuff. It can be hard to say no or miss out on certain things. Organizing your social life is key. It will help you to enjoy it all more and actually to be more productive. You need to have the right balance but still be able to enjoy all that you want to.

Prioritize

Though it is hard to miss out on certain things, sometimes we physically can’t fit it all in. If you need to say no to someone, because of something else, then you’ll have to. It is hard to commit to every event or charity organization as you just can’t do it all. Decide what is the most important to you and make sure that you make room for those things or events.

Write Things Down

This might sound like an obvious one but writing things down helps to organize. You can plan your day and week out much more easily. It will also help you to remember things like birthdays and anniversaries. If you can schedule things in, you will roughly know when certain events will be happening. Will your friend be turning 30 in a couple of months? Chances are she will be having a big party so you can plan for it and schedule it in. Using a personal organizer is so useful for this type of thing. There are so many varieties, the only difficulty you’ll have with it, is choosing which style you would like.

Combine Activities

This can be tricky if your friends are all in different social circles. If you have a few friends that know each other, can you combine activities or events? Instead of having to schedule in two separate lunches or dinners with girlfriends, can you combine and only have one to attend?

The combining can also work for other aspects in your personal life. When you need to call a parent or friend, can you be doing something at the same time? Perhaps clean the house at the same time, or wash dishes (using speakerphone of course)!

I think you need to make sure that you have time for yourself. Your friends will understand and know that you will need time alone; we all do. We all need a little downtime to rest and relax. If you feel overwhelmed with all your commitments, then it is a good sign that you need a time out. If you need to do something, though, invite people to you for a movie night or a few drinks. It is even better night if you can just get to stay at home in your pyjamas, right? Good luck with your plans to organize this year. It is the perfect time to start.
