7 Things Every Woman Needs to Have in Her Car

Women are prepared for everything and are masters at multitasking. When you are always on the run, as a result of having a job, kids and a husband, you need to rely on your car to move from one place to another. While spending so much time in the vehicle – thanks, busy traffic! – you will probably find yourself eating, putting on makeup or changing clothes in your car, especially if it’s a big car, like the Chevrolet Traverse. You don’t want to be late for an important meeting because you had to return home to change or refresh yourself; here are the things you need to have in your car.

Makeup basics

We all know that moment when you have to go to a meeting and you’ve been caught with a messy bun and an outbreak is in full bloom on your face. You need to be prepared to fight these moments with the basics: concealer, blush, mascara, lipstick and foundation. Put them in a small case and keep them in the car at all times. Add to them a deodorant, which can save you on a really hot day.

Period kit

Another thing you need to have in your car is a period kit. A couple of pads, tampons and intimate wipes are enough to help you deal with the days when your period comes earlier.

Spare shoes

Every girl has a pair of shoes in her car, but they are usually there because they were not driving-friendly. You should have two pairs of shoes in the car: comfy ones, for all the times when your need to drive for hours on end and pretty, elegant ones, for the days you need to attend an event and you wear your sneakers.

Spare clothes and lingerie

Why make the walk of shame when you can change your clothes with the spare set you have in your car? This is not the only time when having extra panties and an extra outfit in the car is going to come in handy. Choose clothes which are comfy and can work in every situation, from a day at the office to an evening out with the girls.

A blanket and some water

Sometimes, you are forced to spend the night in the car or you end up in a place you need a blanket. Keep one in your trunk, along with a bottle of water. They are helpful when you are stranded because of a storm or when you want to camp in the middle of a field, just because you can.

The smart driver’s kit

There are two types of drivers out there: those who have jumper cables and a spare tire and those who don’t. You want to be in the first category, even if you don’t have the physical power to change a tire. Another thing you want to have in the car at all times is your mechanic’s phone number and towing services number.

A set of spare keys

Keep a set of keys in your car, so when you forget your keys at home and no one is there to open the door when you return, you can help yourself. Also, keep the car’s spare key at home, so you will be able to open your car, if you lock the keys inside.

These small things can really make your life easier and they go a long way when it comes to saving you time and money.
