Kids At Christmas

This Christmas, you might find you have a problem. Your little one hasn’t told you what they want for Christmas and it’s only a few weeks away. Is it time to panic? Not quite because there is a way around this problem. Usually if a child doesn’t tell you what they want for Christmas, they’re trying to figure out if Santa is real. They assume, correctly, if they tell Santa what they want and only Santa and they don’t get it, he doesn’t exist. You might take this as an opportunity to tell kids what Christmas is really about. Or, you may want to keep the illusion alive a little longer. If you’re determined to keep up the game we’ve got the solution. Take your kid to a mall Santa and make sure you tell them the jolly guy is a Santa helper. Your little one is sure to tell them what they want for Christmas. After they’ve seen Santa you can nip back while your kids wait with dad and find out what they asked for. Problem solved!

papa - the man the myth the legendDads and Grandads

Buying a gift for a Dad or Grandfather presents a different problem altogether. These gentlemen are notorious for either not knowing what they want or not bothering to tell someone. But you just need to hone in on what they love to find out what to buy. For instance, you might find you have a Grandfather who is quite fond of his pipe. If that’s the case some quality pipe tobacco might make a nice stocking filler.

Or you might find that your dad loves his pastries, jams and biscuit. You could get a lovely hamper filled with lots of Christmas goodies. We’re sure he’ll be pleased with this item. You should also remember that deep down Dads are often still children. What we mean by this is if you find a great toy or gizmo somewhere, perhaps for his car, he’s sure to love playing with it Christmas morning.

Completely Clueless?

If you’re completely clueless about what to get as a gift for someone, we have the perfect suggestion. This solution would be useful if you’ve drawn the short straw in secret Santa. Buy a gag gift. Buy them something that you know is completely ridiculous, the more ridiculous, the better! That way, you’ll avoid them ever thinking it was a real present. After all one of the best gifts of all is certainly the gift of laughter.
