A couple of weeks ago, we spotlighted The Flip Side, a short film directed by Jay Diaz that explored the question, “what would happen if women acted like men at bars?” The video is a YouTube hit, approaching 2 million views since its release in early February.
Diaz is back with Part 2, “Dating,” which takes a similar “alternate universe” theme and applies the stereotypical “male” behaviors to women in this very funny short. As dating roles are reversed, Diaz depicts guys as the fashionable ones while women open doors for their boyfriends, pass gas under the covers and play video games and check sports scores while the men are trying to get their attention.
