Dern has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards, was selected as a “Best Actress” nominee in the 1992 Academy Awards for her role in Rambling Rose, and has won several Golden Globes awards.
Dern may be best known for her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler in Jurassic Park, and is married to musician Ben Harper with two young children. She is very active in the organization Healthy Child Healthy World, which has a mission of “igniting the movement that empowers parents to protect children from harmful chemicals.”
